Umihara Kawase Shun is being ported to DS. Umihara Kawase is the best game ever made. In 40 odd years of video games being made,. Umihara Kawase represents the pinnacle of gaming. It presents a formidable, yet inherently logical challenge, that is instantly explainable, but takes years to master. When played at the highest level, the game ceases to be merely a challenge to be played to completion, and instead becomes a thing of beauty. Umihara Kawase Shun is essentially the same game, but is an improvement in every way, tweaking the sublime physics engine ever so slightly, making the graphics even more strange and lovely, and consquently it becomes slightly better than the best game ever made. It was ported to PSP by an indie circle last year, but the port sucked. The physics were ever so slightly screwed up. It's the equivalent of having a single guitar string permanently out of tune. A lot of people wouldn't even notice, but to an expert player, it would render the guitar as a useless plank of wood. The DS port promises to be absolutely perfect, and is even being overseen by Makoto Satoshi, the series original creator.

Thus, in March, I will be able to play Umihara Kawase Shun, a game that is slightly better than the best game ever made, on the shitter.
