It's all rosy down south!

My Christmas was pretty awesome lol.

Went home Christmas Eve, nice leisurely train ride down, full of serene landcapes and cold-looking cows. Went to my sister's house and ate lots of awesome food and mulled cider (yum). Eventually, arrived home to my warm, cosy, non-mouldly, non-shithole home, played some cluedo, drank some more mulled cider and sat down to the most awesome roast lamb and potatoes ever. Fluffly, cute animals are definitely better off roasted.

Christmas day was spent with a fair bit of family and friends, played the dvd trivial persuit and had another awesome meal of roast turkey (obvs) amazing pork crackling (salty bits of fat really shouldn't taste that good) and other bits of filipino food - dumpling soup and some beef stew stuff. stuffing and gravy is amazing. Was whisked away to my brother-in-laws-parent's house before the dreaded karaoke began (although it is my mother's horribly tuneless voice, that is most upsetting and she spent xmas in the philippines (:())in eseeeeex and sat down for a second(!) christmas dinner and then proceeded to eat lots of homemade mincepies/christmas pudding/biscuits/mints/sandwhiches/etc. and more mulled cider (which was even better by this point as it a lot milder and cinemoney (sp?)) then spent the rest of the day playing quizes and games. Present-wise I got quite a bit of bath stuff (this is good), a wheres wally, dvd, monies, and enough food to last for a good while huzzah and the stuff i got for other people seemed to go down well - which was good seeing as most of the hard-earned money i've been working for the last few weeks went on it!

Spent boxing day with some friends and then went home and ate lots of yummy leftovers. Other than that re-read northern lights (better than i remembered!) and played lots of professor leyton on ds, which is good.

In sum, Food is what christmas is all about.
